As Dr. Siegbert Tarrasch once said, "Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make people happy".  We here at Eclectic Chess seek to bring you wholesome, family-friendly, well organised chess tournaments from Coast to Coast.  We believe that through the exercise of the brain, the challenges we meet at the chessboard would stand us in good stead in our lives.  Virtues such as; Patience, Planning, prudent use of Power, and Fairplay, can all be applied in our daily lives as we interact with the rest of humanity.  While at our tournaments we hope you take the opportunity to make new friends, interact with others of different cultures and learn more about some of the qualities than unite us as brothers and sisters in this universe.
